'How to Get Away With Murder' Series Finale: When Will It Air and What Will Happen?
ABC is about to air the series finale of How to Get Away With Murder after six years of twists, turns, and tremendous Viola Davis monologues.
Season 6, Episode 15 of the drama, titled "Stay," will bring the show to an end with an episode that will reveal who killed Annalise Keating (played by Davis) while also tying up every character's stories and offering what star Matt McGorry (in an Entertainment Weekly interview) called, "all the answers you've ever wanted [and] some of the answers you never wanted."
When will the How to Get Away With Murder series finale air?
HTGAWM Season 6, Episode 15 will air on ABC on Thursday, May 14, in the show's usual time slot of 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT. After airing, the episode will be made available on both the ABC website and app as well as on Hulu.
For fans who want to catch up on the story so far, episodes of How to Get Away With Murder Season 6 are streaming now on ABC and Hulu, while the first five seasons are on Netflix.
As for fans waiting for HTGAWM Season 6 to come to Netflix so they can stream all episodes at once, the show is expected to come to the streamer in mid-June 2020.
What will happen in the How to Get Away With Murder series finale?
The official ABC synopsis for "Stay" reads: "Annalise discovers there's a surprise witness that threatens her case. Meanwhile, Connor (Jack Falahee) tries to persuade the K3 to go along with a new plan. Elsewhere, a lie between Frank (Charlie Weber) and Bonnie (Liza Weil) threatens their relationship as Annalise's killer is finally revealed on the series finale of How to Get Away with Murder."
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, series creator Pete Nowalk said: "Each of the characters makes a really strong choice about who they want to be, that you might hate, but that's what that character would do. It's going to be really emotional. I resist anything that's a normal version of happiness."
He added in a People Magazine profile: "Nobody deserves to get away with murder ... Some of them will, some of them won't. I want people to be horrified by that."
Though we do not know much about what is in the HTGAWM finale, we do know one of the things not in the show. On May 12, Nowalk shared a scene deleted from the final episode that showed Connor waking up from a nightmare that Asher (McGorry) had come back from the dead to kill him.
"Deleted scene alert: We only had 43 minutes for our final, so here's @MattMcGorry in his final #HTGAWM scene. Thank you Matt for bringing heart, laughter, & one-of-a-kind dance moves to all of us," the showrunner tweeted.
How to Get Away With Murder concludes on Thursday, May 14 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
